Jacob R. Bednar

Jacob R. Bednar

Jacob is a 2008 Graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. He went on to attend Northampton Community College, where he received a degree in Applied and Mortuary Science, graduating in 2011. Upon graduating college, Jacob served as an apprentice at a Berks County funeral home, receiving his funeral director's license in 2012. After working at other funeral homes for 11 years, Jacob established his own business in October 2020. Jacob is honored to serve Reading, Temple, Alsace Township, Laureldale, Oley and all other surrounding communities. 


Richard C. Bednar

Richard C. Bednar

Richard is a 1978 Graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. He went on to attend  Penn State University, where he received his degree in  Hotel Restaurant and Institutional Management.  Richard began his career with Sybra, Inc.,  an  Arby's  franchise, starting as assistant manager at the Arby's Restaurant in Shillington.  Working through the ranks, Richard was promoted to general manager, and later district manager, eventually managing 10 restaurants in 3 states. In 2002, after 23 years in the hospitality industry, Richard changed paths and went into business for himself developing and growing his real estate investment business. Richard began purchasing rental properties in Pennsylvania,  growing his operations into 3 Real Estate Companies in 2 states with a combined 75 units.   Richard continues with his business and is assisting with the funeral home operations.


Steven S. Keiser

Steven is a 1975 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. He went on to attend Alvernia University, graduating in 1980 with a degree in Social Studies. Steven was employed by the Governor Mifflin School District and Berks Career and Technology Center for 40 years. Additionally, Steven has been an entrepreneur, being involved in many successful business ventures as well as many philanthropic organizations. Steven has served as President and board member for The Reading Literacy Council, served 12 years on the Board of Trustees of Alvernia University, and is now a Trustee Emeritus. Steven has also been involved in The Real Estate Investors Association of Berks County, where he was past President, board member, Chair of the Government Affairs Committee, and current Vice-President. Steven continues to operate his business and assists with funeral services.

North Bednar

North is a 3 year old Chow Chow and is the friendliest dog you will ever meet, greeting everyone he passes with kindness. Upon request, he is available to provide comfort to you, your family, and guests during a viewing and funeral.
