William Pettis Obituary William E. Pettis, 78, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on May 25, 2022 at The Phoenix Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Born in Richmond, VA he was the son of the late Raleigh and Lillie Mae (Berkley) Pettus. William was employed in various career fields, most notably he was employed as a cab driver in Brooklyn, NY and as a Self-Employed Contractor. William was predeceased by his son: Jamar Pettis. He is survived by his son: William L. Pettis of Reading, Granddaughter: Dexnie Pettis, sisters: Rodnett Pettus of Reading and Brenda Pettus. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at Bednar Funeral Home, 2910 Pricetown Road, Reading, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 12:00PM. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11-12:00PM.
