Steven S. Keiser, 69, of Cumru Twp., passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2026 at his residence.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Sterling R. and Frances (Brown) Keiser.
Steven was a 1975 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. He went on to attend Alvernia University, graduating in 1980 with a degree in Social Studies. Steven was employed by the Governor Mifflin School District and Berks Career and Technology Center for 40 years. Additionally, Steven was an entrepreneur, and was involved in many successful business ventures as well as many philanthropic organizations. Steven served as President and Board member for The Literacy Council of Reading-Berks; served 12 years on the Board of Trustees of Alvernia University; and was a Trustee Emeritus; and the Ellen Frei Gruber Award recipient. Steven was involved in The Real Estate Investors Association of Berks County, where he was past President, board member, Chair of the Government Affairs Committee, and was the current Vice-President. He also served as President of Pine & Brine Condo Association, Rehoboth Beach, DE. Steven enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, spending time at the beach, working on his properties, driving his antique cars, and dining at his favorite restaurants. He will be greatly missed by all those he met in his life and the lives that he touched.
Survivors include his Spouse: Adythia “Eddie” Nugraha, Niece: Judith Eve (Keiser) Edwards of Gilbert, Arizona and nephew: James E. Keiser of Blandon.
Funeral Services will be held at Bednar Funeral Home, 2910 Pricetown Road, Reading (Alsace Twp.) on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 3:00PM. The family will receive friends and relatives from 12-3:00PM. A private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family at the Alvernia Memorial Prayer Garden and Columbarium.
