Mary A. Smith

Mary A. Smith, 75, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away on January 15, 2026 at her residence.

She was the spouse of Charles A. Smith. Together they celebrated 18 years of marriage.

Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Leon J. and Irene M. (Wann) Oxenreider.

Mary was a graduate of Cocalico High School Class of 1968. She went on to attend the Reading Hospital School of Nursing and was employed as an Operating Room Nurse for Tower Health. In later years she was employed as the Showroom Manager for Wentzel Fabrication of Oley, where she was employed until 2023.

She was predeceased by a grandchild, Steven Lesher.

In addition to her husband, Charles A. Smith, she is survived by her children: Shannon A. McVaugh, wife of Scott of Denver and Donald Lesher, Jr. of Ephrata. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
