Elena D. Muntean

Elena Daniela Muntean, 58, of Alburtis, passed away on January 20, 2026 at her residence.

She was the spouse of Gabriel L. Muntean. Together they celebrated 36 years of marriage.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, she was the daughter of the late Grigore Dragos and Ana (Guiu) Dragos.

Elena was employed as a store manager for a department store in New York for many years, later becoming a lab technician at the West Chester Medical Center. After moving to Pennsylvania she was employed as a Phlebotomist at The Reading Hospital.

In addition to her husband, Gabriel L. Muntean and mother: Ana Dragos, she is survived by her children: Victor G. Muntean of Alburtis and Vera AnnMarie Muntean of Boston. Also surviving is a brother: Bogdon Dragos, husband of Mirela of Bucharest, Romania.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 9:30-10:30AM, with Divine Liturgy starting at 10:30AM at St. Andrew’s Romanian Orthodox Church, 5640 Boyertown Pike, Birdsboro, PA 19508. The interment will follow the service at Alsace Cemetery.
